I woke up today at 5AM in a Hotel of Damauli with the news of Barcelona Elclasico’s win on the phone screen. Took a quick shower, got ready for an event and reached Prison Office Damauli at Sharp 8AM. Spoke about the importance of reading culture among inmates in Prison at a Book Handover Program with Mayor of Vyas Municipality, Tanahun and Team of Tanahun. Handed over 200 books for the Prison Library that Team NEPO established three years back.

Then slowly headed towards the female inmates’ block of the prison without mobile phone and camera but with a Steth, spyygmomanometer, pack of medicines, few test kits and bundle of prescription slips in hand. Enjoyed hearing their stories with a sip of tea made and served by inmates themselves. And then after couple of hour, got out of females inmates block and joined another block for lunch. We were the team of 5. It was not my first time having the lunch made by inmates but it was for rest of my medical team members. We enjoyed the lunch, enjoyed our delightful conversations on experience of being inside prison and conversations with inmates, thanked inmates for the lunch and got back to screening health complaints of male inmates. Screened over 100 inmates for next few hours and finally came out after 6 hours in prison.

And the very first thing I did was grab my phone and witnessed Australia’s astonishing Test win against India finally. Received Certificate of Appreciation from Jailor, joined for a light lunch and and did an interview for Tanahun Television on the events coverage. Meanwhile, Nepal declared a nice win against PNG.

I was exhausted by the end of the day and I’m the chief trainer for a whole day leadership training tomorrow however, couldn’t deny the request of my team to take a 45min ride to Manungkot Height.

It’s almost 12 AM now. And I am enjoying night coffee at Manungkot with my team.

What a day! What a relief! What a satisfaction! Thank you god for making me able to serve, for making me selfless enough to devote and immerse myself in serving at bestest possible way.
